jomaxsmith
Opened the egg port this am to find a 54g white egg. It _could_ be the first egg from our 22 week old Rhode Star or it could just be a pale version of the Coral's eggs. She hasn't laid today to put paid to the mystery so I just won't know for sure until i get a 2 egg day! Lily is quite red faced but isn't crouching and her headgear hasn't enlarged. My Maran Cuivre, on the other hand, is really reddening up and her headgear is growing plus she is reluctantly crouching so I hope she'll give me eggs soon! It's so exciting! Snowy
Well the safe money would be that it's a paler version of your coral's egg as the other two should lay brown and dark brown eggs. But someones maran recently started laying blue eggs, so I guess only time will tell!
ktdot
My Coral's eggs are very pale. They look white until you put them next to white paper or something. Then you can see that they're a very pale pinky colour.
jomaxsmith
Thanks both, Big Zee's eggs are very pale pink but this egg definitely looks much whiter. I was told the Rhode Star would lay white eggs which is why I was/am hopeful. Only time will tell! Jo
