jomaxsmith
After yesterday's post about getting 2 brown eggs in one day I've taken the following photos showing my Rhode Star's ear lobes. The poultry centre told me she would lay white eggs but posters on here have said their Rhode Stars lay brown eggs. What do you think? Christian
I would guess white eggs! Her comb is still quite small and she has very yellow legs, so I guess it will be a while until she starts laying.
Egluntyne
My Tikka has earlobes just like that. They look as though they have been Tippexed. She lays the very palest pinky beige eggs.
Cinnamon
They look the same as my Pansys, who is also a Rhode Star, & her eggs are pale brown - almost tinted pink
lisa33
She is very similar to my Rae who lays brown eggs.
Snowy
I've clicked on brown, but as others have said probably a pale cream egg. Is a rhode star a cross between a RIR and a white star? If so, one lays brown eggs, the other white, so a creamy egg should be the result (although it probably is not that simple!)
