CatsCube
How long does a moult typically take? The last couple of days Missy hasnt been moving around to much,m still eating but not laid yesterday or today, and today when I just went and gave them some more food I can see their are loads of grey feathers all over the place, so Im guessing she has just started moulting. Chickaboo
Aah bless her. It can take quite a long time in my experiance 6wks +. It takes a lot out of them, so I'd keep an eye on her weight and give some tuna in spring water as extra protein is really important during the moult. Christian
Shirley has been moulting since November! She is really scruffy looking now. Just managed to grab her and feed her some more rinsed tuna in the shed. Much to the disgust of the others! Laverne took about 5-6 weeks. Egluntyne
I agree....6 weeks plus. Give extra protein....it works wonders.
