KateP
I have recently bought some garlic powder after everyone here recommends it. How much do you add to the pellets? So far, I have added a teaspoon to the grub every time I have filled it. Is this enough? Thanks.
Ain't Nobody Here
That should be fine. I add mine to my pellets box to save doing it every morning. I just chuck a whole load in (along with poultry spice) and mix it in. What doesn't coat the pellets sinks to the bottom and you can mix it into the next batch. I also add a teaspoon if they get a "meal" in their treat bowl. I don't think the dose is particularly important.
Egluntyne
Yep....I add a teaspoonful too.
Olly
sounds about right to me, my 'pellets pot' holds about two grubfuls, and I add a scoop and a half, using the scoop provided with the garlic. You will soon notice the difference! If you think things are getting a bit whiffy, add a little more.
YorkshirePud
Maybe a stupid question, but what does the garlic powder help with?
Egluntyne
Maybe a stupid question, but what does the garlic powder help with? It keeps the smell of the poo down and it also alters the environment in the gut to make it a bit more hostile to parasites.
YorkshirePud
Thanks egluntine, that's a great help. Still waiting for a pick up date for our battery rescues, but will get some garlic powder in ready.
