Refurbishing Chairs

Recommended Posts

Not sure if this is crafting or not - it was certainly therapeutic!

I bought six dining chairs off ebay to replace the ones that match our dining table that are falling apart. I thought they were pine but when I got them they are stained a horrid dark mahogany colour. To cap it all, when I put them round the table they wouldn't go underneath and stuck out so you couldn't walk around the table. (Oh yes, and they were too narrow to accomodate generous proportions  ) But they were only £30, so drastic action needed.

So I got OH's jigsaw out

I left the arms on two of them. Daniel helped with the painting:

Ta da! All primed with white paint and awaiting a coat (or two) of white gloss. Much better! 8)

Now they all fit under the table, and are nice and solid 8) Now what else can I use the jigsaw on
