KimW
Does anyone have a Merrydale Sweetie (which is a Rhode Island White) or know anything about them? Would they get on with Miss P's, Gingernut R's and Silver Laced Wyandotte's?
Snowy
The merrydale sweetie is the same as the amber star and is a hybrid of the RIR and a white plymouth rock. Helly Welly has a couple and I believe they are great hens, large and docile, laying a brown egg. Should go absolutely fine with your existing flock
KimW
Thanks for that Snowy, thought I had better check first
Janty
Sporty Spice is a Merrydale sweetie. She is friendly and takes treats out of my hand. She is also a lovely hen. Mine likes to be the boss but Karen at Merrydale Poultry tells me that this is not a usual trait for this breed. She lays regularly...I can recommend the breed.
