I still havent decided. OH says either. I really fancy doing a lot of the activities at CP. Like I really want to try clay pigeon shooting, and OH can do rally driving and we can do go-karting and horse riding.

 

But I do like the romantic idea of Paris and having the trip abroad. And taking in the sights and cakes!!! I have already found the deal and the hotel I want.

 

I think OH passport os okay for the time we want to go away but I was told that it has to be valid for a further 6 months after your intended return date. Which Im pretty sure it isnt. any one know on this, and also how much is a passport now. someone told me £80

 

I might go for Centre Parcs this time and Paris maybe for a 3 day weekend in the Autumn if the first trip goes well.

yes you do have to have 6 months. i had to go to the passport office and get mine the day before my holiday as i only had 3 months left.

 

Its incase you get ill out there.

I've just found this on the British Embassy website. Passport validity varies from country to country, some countries are not worried about 6 months left on your passport. Others (like south america) are very strict on this. This is what it says about France -

 

Passport validity

 

All British passport holders require a valid passport. There is no minimum passport validity requirement but you should ensure that your passport is valid for the proposed period of your stay.

Thing with CP is that you will be surrounded by other people's children and will be all wistful that your's aren't with you! dh and I went to Elveden before we had the boys and stayed in the hotel and it was ok, nothing special though!

 

There must be other locations not too far away that offer adult activity breaks?

I LOVE Paris, we honeymooned there in 2006 and we were there on 14th July. Our room had a great view of the Eiffel Tower and we sat, sipping champers and watching the fireworks. It couldn't have been more romantic!

 

We've also been to Centerparcs in Sherwood Forest several times and love it there too but if it was a choice btwn Paris and Centerparcs, I'd take Paris any time!

Thanks for that Chelsea, I found that info on the passport thing on the French Embassy site too. OH is having a lie down at the moment but I will get him to check exactly when his passport expires.

 

Will def make a decision this weekend.
