mayflower
Hi, a couple of weeks ago, there was someone here who gave info on a website for fox proof alarms. The advert claimed that their alarm was 100% fox proof because, instead of going off every 8 secs, it only sends out the high pitch sound when a fox is near, thereby the fox begins to associate the noise with themselves. I ca'nt find the website anywhere so, could someone help me out here please. The company also sells rat and mice deterrants which looked good. I want to do everything possible to protect my future ex bats hens....arriving in a few weeks time!! The green eglu cube has arrived, and Hubby has made a convalesent henhouse for the girls until they are strong enough to climb the ladder. Olly
I am not sure I know which website it was - you could try searching on here although if you put in 'fox' you will get a lot of posts! However I believe the Foxwatch advertises on this basis, as it is only triggered when something passes in front of the sensor. I've got a Foxwatch and I really recommend it as a deterrent. I got mine from Primrose. I wouldn't rely on it totally to keep a fox off, they are very determined especially at this time of year, but I haven't seen the fox in my garden since I got it.
