Eyren
There's a breeders directory in the wiki - this seems to be one of the nearest ones to you: http://www.gardenpoultry.cwc.net/breeds.htm Lots of good egg-laying breeds, and they deliver if you can't drive to Frodsham in Cheshire to collect them. bellekatz
They do prefer you to pick up - they have POL birds in at the moment but have a new batch in on March 2nd which includes some blue egg layers. I got my White Star ( Leghorn hybrid) from them last year and she has been a brilliant layer of large white eggs. They also have lots of other good laying hybrids but no pure breeds yet. there is also this one in preston http://www.pimlottspoultry.co.uk/ - they have hybrids and good layers all year round so they say. Jules.
I've ordered a cream legbar & silver laced wyandotte from Linda Burn, she's in Freckleton, Lancs. I'm hoping to collect them at the end of May see this link http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/search.php?mode=results

Jules.
Oh I'm back.... ! Try this http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17419&highlight=breeders+north+west If the link doesn't work type "breeders in the north west" in the search box, & search for all terms. CatsCube
I cant help with where to get, but I do suggest getting a white star. Its basically a leghorn, but slightly refined strain so they lay better than a leghorn. I have both, and my white star lays minimum of 65g eggs every day, taking a day off every fortnight, where as my leghorn is normally laying only every other day, as does my wyandotte. KimW
I've got my name down for two Silver Laced Wyandottes (they are Bantams though) at a place in Windsor, not sure where you are based. They will be ready in the next month or two. The web address is www.thegardenhen.co.uk/ Sorry, just read that you are in Blackburn!
