Olly
wow - that's a result! welcome to the forum, and to the world of chicken-keeping. That's very interesting about the eggs, I wonder why that is? That is what freecycle is really all about - keeping things out of landfill and swapping things that you've outgrown for somebody else's unwanted stuff. Angus Arran Chooks
Sometimes I think that there are people out there scamming on freecycle. You know, buying to sell on (not neccessarily chickens/chicken houses). I once got a little tykes kiddie car from freecycle - we were so chuffed and our little lad loved it, we took a big bunch of flowers along for the lady and sent her a card afterwards (well I think it would have cost of £60 new!) she was so chuffed she went into her garage and loaded our car up with a whole load of other toys!! I advertised an old fireplace which we ripped out and someone came to take it - they were nice. Although they also left with half of my plants from my borders!!! But we also advertised a two seater sofa bed - really in good condition but we couldnt take it with us when we moved (downsizing) - this crazy woman arrived with a hatchback car (some Japanese make) she also had a baby with her about 6 months old. She insisted on taking it with her, we were really worried she strapped the baby in the front (in its car seat which should not be in the front) and got my OH to ram it into the boot, the boot door flapping around as she drove away !!! We were horrified!
