Guest
I debated what to get when they were around the same price. The LCD won because it uses less electricity, will last longer, doesn't chuck out as much heat. The difference these days really is very little and LCD prices are still dropping as the technology develops. The only think the 2 salesmen in John Lewis said was Plasma are better if you watch a lot of sport. If you do get one go to John Lewis, the range is great, the prices are great, the salesmen are great, the delivery is great and of course you get a free 5 year warranty which is erm, great! Lesley
We looked at all this in December - and checked out the Which reports. We bought a Panasonic Viera 32" LCD - and it is brilliant! Very easy to set up and to use. Sport has been fine on it and the picture is really clear.
Snowy
OH treated himself to a 42" Hitachi plasma with his last bonus I wasn't impressed until I realised the one, massive benefit .... I can now watch TV without having to wear my glasses! (also, because it is slimmer, it doesn't stick out into the room as much as the old CRT box). One of his better buys!
