Shelley Cockell
Doris laid her first egg last Friday- it was perfect. The second came on Monday - soft shelled - none since. How long does it take until one a day? Ethel has laid one a day since we got her in January and has only had 3 days off!
Christian
As she is so new to laying, she will get into the swing of things soon. It took a few weeks for mine to lay regularly. After a while, I was hoping they would take a day off now and then
ubereglu
I'm in the same boat. Molly laid a perfect blue egg on Tuesday and laid a tiny bluey soft shell egg yesterday. It does take them a while to get used to laying, but you should have some proper eggs soon!
Egluntyne
Don't worry, it will all fall into place.....there will be a few blips, and a few double yolkers to start with! The longer days will help establish more of a pattern too.
