self inflating air beds?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone got any experience of these?

We are looking to buy one to take to a cottage with us in the holidays for one of the children to sleep on.

Are Aerobeds worth the extra money?

Does anyone have a Ready bed and are they any good?

We have plenty of bog standard camping air beds but thought these might be better

Our friends bought a one last year and it went down in the night - not a very good start to their first family camping holiday :(

With a good pump it does not take very long to pump up the traditional airbeds - we find its a good job to give to the children - they don't do it very well but it keeps them occupied!

We bought a double airbed last year (we usually sleep on roll mats) - not very comfortable as you get disturbed every time your partner moves!

My boys wouldn't sleep on a Readybed as the pillow was too high! A friend borrowed it and it got a puncture

My Mum has one of those airbeds with a built in pump that you just plug into a socket and it inflates. It's a lot quicker to inflate than using an ordinary electric pump and is also higher so it's more bed like and less difficult to get in and out of.
