Mrs Berties run dimensions

Recommended Posts

Hi there, to everyone who asked (and there were a few!) the dimensions of our new run are (I'm reliably informed by OH who built it)

3m x 4m (ish)

so about 9 1/2 feet by 12 and a bit ish. In that we've got 11 standard sized hens and three bantams and to be honest they're probably not going to be coming out a whole lot as, in less than a year, I have NO garden left. and I have three children who I would like to be able to play on some grass this summer (providing we GET a summer  )

They have the ladder to the loft extension, seed and nut blocks hanging down, log pile, two corners to dig dust baths in, two corners full of grit three feeding stations two water stations and three straw bales to climb on and hide under (which they haven't even tried eating to answer someone else) It took 1 1/2 bales of aubiose to cover and they seem quite happy in there.

Sorry to bung it all in a posting not a personal answer but I really did have quite a few queries

Hope that answers your questions,,

Mrs B

Oh wow I was one of the people who asked as I thought it was huge. Mines going to be 12x8ft so hopefully will be quite spacious then. Its hard to picture but seeing yours has helped a lot. I was worried as they wouldnt be coming out but as I only have 7 banties theres plenty of room. thanks for the info
