jomaxsmith
Can someone help me identify the correct term for something I own. When we bought the Eglu (secondhand) the seller also gave us a large plastic crate/cage with a trapdoor which is presumably meant for transporting chooks although it doesn't look tall enough inside. I won't be using it as I would prefer to transport them in a dark box with a solid floor (to contain the poo!) so will think about eBaying it. I haven't got a clue how to describe it though! Any help appreciated Thanks Jo
Jules.
I have no idea- but could it be a broody cage?
jomaxsmith
It looks a bit like the trays bread are delivered in but with the plastic mesh all over. I'd post a pic but my camera is a bit ill at the moment! Jo

chelsea
does it look like this? this is a stackable poultry crate (sold on ascott farm supplies) hubby uses something similar for his job of chicken catching - he calls them "modules" as they stack on an artic lorry. Egluntyne
Why not donate it to the BHWT.....I think that is similar to the crates they use for rescues.
