Shelley Cockell
I thought that chickens hate getting wet. Why is it then that mine will stand outside and get drenched rather than go in their house or covered run...? .....stupid chickens! Now they are all soggy and trying to go to sleep!! Janty
Mine like the wet weather too and most of them have feathery legs. You can imagine the cleaning afterwards.
Eyren
Mine were all perched on top of the ark in a line today - council workmen were clearing the bushes that back onto our garden, and the chooks were a bit spooked by the noise of the shredder I think there'll be a lot of preening of grubby foot feathers tomorrow! (Amazing how much cleaner they look after a few hours in the hemcore-filled run...)
Egluntyne
Mine play happily in the rain.

TrishY
I put a shower curtain over the eglu run but the marys were not impressed - the NOISE eek had to take it off again and they then stood in the rain happily and wandered in and out of the eglu bless em! Carol U
Mine don't seem to notice the weather and would rather be outside no matter what it does. Also, no matter how damp they are when going to bed, they emerge all dry and fluffy next morning.
