GEB
Two of my girls have been laying for a little while now. They both lay lovely eggs every day and I do feel very lucky already. My only concern is that they are quite small. They have all been about 45g and show no sign of getting any bigger. Will they get bigger or will I always get little eggs? TAJ
Mine started at 45g, but went up within the first week. My light sussex are still only around 54g, but the two hybrids are around 58g, with a number of double yokers around 80g. Tracy
Hen Watch
My lot are hybrid egg laying machines. Started at 50g for a good few weeks increasing gradualy, now they are huge and I've got used to these as being normal size. When I take a peek at supermarket eggs they look so small now...... chickencam
We started with quite small eggs and one of the Pepperpots still lays small eggs 55-60g but the other one usually manages around 70g as does the Light Sussex and the White Star laid 60g eggs for ages but now she is laying 65-70g every day for the last 48 days
