muzzie
I have a first and second egg the first was a tiny perfect brown egg from Eggwina and the second was a light beige/off white egg from Eggna this egg doesn't have a pointy end both ends look rounded to me how do I tell which end is up? Sorry haven't figured out how to post photos but I was able to add them to the gallery.
Sarah B
Hi Rita, When they do a torpedo I don't think you can tell which way is up. Shouldn't matter too much it will still be tasty. Just eat it rather than store it!
Snowy
A couple of mine lay eggs that are either torpedos or almost round with no discernible pointy end. You will find that each chicken has her own particular shaped egg that rarely changes

Hen Watch
Every now and again we get "torpido" eggs. Speckled ones, not specked ones, rings round them, ridges, calcium spots etc. Got used to it now. You might find this interesting for egg shape pictures, but don't worry about the advice to get rid of birds with misshappen eggs, just remember that your eggs are not commercial and all to be uniform for sale to a supermarket. Despite that, the pictures are quite interesting. http://www.thepoultrysite.com/ourbooks/1/egg-quality-handbook/
