AmandaR
I felt similar about a year ago, like life was just one long treadmill of chores, childrens activities, work, ferrying everyone around and being the one who organises anything and everything So I sat them all down and we all wrote a list of ideas of what we would like to do as a family, put them in a tub and each Saturday we draw one out and do it. The children really surprised me with their ideas as I thought they would just suggest mega expensive things like theme parks etc but a lot of the ideas were simple such as picnics and walks round parks that we don't go and visit very often. As for me personally, I signed up on an Open University home study course in Law. Finished my first year (thoroughly enjoyed it) and I am now home studying with another provider for an AAT bookkeeping certificate. I also signed up as a Governor at my childrens school which has been rewarding and challenging. Most schools are crying out for Governors.....and PTA's for helpers... Basset
I like to do an Adult Education course every year. This year I'm doing a French conversation class. Also I help at the children's school each week. I agree with Rhapsody about horse-riding, it's my favourite thing too!! Is there an activity you would like to try?
