Tara123
....by a lovely couple who replied to my wanted ad on freecycle for a greenhouse. They have given me a 6x8' aluminium greenhouse with most of the glass still intact. I'm so as we have been looking at second hand one's locally on eBay and even they still go up to a price we could no way afford at the moment. We are going to convert it into a walk in run as our home made run is not quite high enough for me to stand up straight, so it plays havoc with my back. I am going to put the glass back onto the roof and back of the greenhouse and mesh the rest with recycled wire from the old run. I really can't wait for it to be all finished as poo picking has been a real struggle when you can't actually stretch your back up now and again Will post pics when its all done
bellekatz
Good luck with the conversion - please post some pics!!
superjules
Ooh, that's lucky. I've seen the odd greenhouse and shed on our branch of freecycle. I bet they get loads of responses. You might want to paint some shader on the roof as it will get hot under glass in the summer. Hope it works out ok.
Tara123
You might want to paint some shader on the roof as it will get hot under glass in the summer. Yes, I was planning on doing that as I don't want fried chickens when I get home . We're also putting it right into the corner of our garden so it will be sheltered on 2 sides by fencing and we have a large conifer that will also give it some shade during the hottest time's of the day, so that will help a bit. If it still gets to hot then I have some gazebo curtains that I could attach to the roof for extra protection
