abwsco
Haven't got our exbatts yet but they are going to be named after Simpsons characters. We've got Patty, Selma, Edna, Lurleen and Brandine. Need one more yet.
mrsm_jones
I'm not getting any in the forseeable future because Scottish battery hens farmers will not negotiate with the BHWT The Scottish BHWT coordinator could rescue over 700 hens (that was the number he told me over two months ago so It could very well have gone up by now) , he has a list as long as your arm of folk in Scotland wanting to adopt the hens. It is such a shame I wish a rescue down South could transport some ex batts up over the border, I would be willing to travel ali-s, there is an animal rescue centre near us in Aberdeen that has a huge pile of rescue hens. They are called The New Arc. They have a website, and they are lovely to speak to. Unfortunately, the rescue centre suffered a fire recently, so they may not be officially open to the public, but they do welcome visitors who have phoned and told them they're coming. www.thenewarc.org

cathybc
After much deliberation, my girls are Harriet, Hedwig and Hermione. I had a huge list though - April May and June, Nancy Olivia and Josephine - and these are the least embarrassing ones....one always has to consdier what it will sound like if ever shouted out at the vets........that is when I regret naming one of my chins Elvis.....the best I have heard was Obi Wan
superjules
Someone on here, I forget who, has chickens Ani and Obi. We've got Yoda and Yaddle, and the name Yum-yum often raises an eyebrow or two.
