argent13uk
Hiya, As i am now the proud recipient of 2 eggs a day - i have become adventerous in my egg cooking. I made the best toad in the hole ever with my eggs - the pudding rose beautifully and had a magnificent colour. I attribute it solely to the great fresh eggs my chickens produce. what other egg based dishes have people found improved with thier fresh eggs? must admit i cant beat the boiled eggs and soldiers! Nicola H
I also find that the fresh eggs my chickens produce make fantastic Yorkshire puds. I think that baked egg custard tart and home made mayonnaise taste great when made with the eggs from my girls...........
Guest
I used to HATE fried and poached eggs before we got our girls but now I adore them. The whites are so light and not sloppy and the yolks so rich and creamy that to be honest, there's nothing I like better than a simple egg; either boiled, poached or fried They make scrummy bread and butter pudding though!!!! yum! Clarabelle
I made a wonderful frittata with 5 eggs, leeks, mushrooms, courgettes and sun-dried tomatoes the other day. It was a beautiful sunny yellow colour and tasted delicious. Definitely better than any I've made with shop-bought eggs.
Tara.F
my cakes are distinctly more yellow when I use our own eggs and I often find I have to add a drop of milk because they are so rich and thick.
TAJ
I gave the chooks a yorkshire pud tonight - I wish I had a VCR - they tackled each other and ran around the garden for a good 10 mins - they were so funny, just when one thought it was safe to put it down another would rugby tackle from behind - at one point bella put her heads between nutmegs legs to grab it from the floor. Probably looked a lot funnier than it sounds, but it kept us entertained. Tracy
Egluntyne
Sponge cakes are fantastic now.

Plus poached eggs seem to 'hold' themselves together better now!
mrsm_jones
WE made the most delicious leek and cheddar quiche and mini quiches last weekend. Yum Yum. Just roll out "Just Roll" Short pastry. MIx 4 eggs with 300 ml double cream. Put your filling in and cook at 180c for about 25-30 mins.
AJuff
Apart from delicious Yorkshire puddings, fairy cakes and all eggs they also make a fantastic carbonara. Jamie Oliver @ home - courgette carbonara, would highly recomend.
