Guest
my sis is down from Leeds so has taken over the hospital watch, he's making good progress so Ian and I took the opportunity to go and buy our toms from the garden centre. We've bought the following varieties; big boy, golden sunrise, alicante, gardener's delight, supersweet 100 and tumbling toms. Ian finished building the greenhouse we got from freecycle and I poo picked the girls coop and gave them some mashed potato and grapes and sat in the garden with them. It was bloomin freezing but we all had a lovely afternoon. Bea decided to stay put so she got a little ramekin with mash potato and grapes in and a little bit of arthritis medicine mixed into it (see homeopathic thread in chicken clinic). I went a bit mad with the camera, taking pics of our fruit and veg, the girls and the greenhouse but lots of happy memories contained in those pixels Told you I went a bit mad http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/beans1.jpg http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/bed1.jpg http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/bed2.jpg http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/bed3.jpg http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/bed4.jpg http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/canes1.jpg http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/fatima1.jpg http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/feet1.jpg http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/ghouse1.jpg http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/ghouse2.jpg http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/ghouse3.jpg http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/happychooks1.jpg http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/happychooks2.jpg http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/happychooks3.jpg http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/happychooks4.jpg http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/herb5.jpg http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/rocket1.jpg http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/salad1.jpg http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/toms1.jpg http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/toms2.jpg
Blackrocksrock
I think you live in a different country to me - my tomato plants are about 1" high at the moment and living in the greenhouse in a propagator inside a huge polystyrene box with a sheet of perspex on top! as are all my seeds as its been cold, snowy and frosty up here still. I wish it were warmer. Your set up looks great - loads of things to eat.
Guest
I think you live in a different country to me ... we bought the plants from the garden centre today as DH didn't sow his seeds in time! This is our first year of growing fruit and veg so we're trying lots of different things Thanks for the compliment, I've been surprised at how much we've packed into our little garden. ali-s
Great pics Poet I like the pop bottle cloches I haven't planted anything this year My linkabord raised beds are going to be dismantled today and packed away ready for moving. Hopefully I will be able to buy a few tom plants when we have moved but I think that will be all for this year. The proposed veg garden at the new house needs a lot of work doing to it.
