El Jefe
Maybe a daft question - but is it OK to put the chook droppings around the veggies growing in growbags in the greenhouse?
fowlbird
I'm not sure. I read somewhere that it's OK to use the droppings directly on fruit and veg but not on flowers. It may heve been in the omlet chook care booklet.

El Jefe
Thanks for that - I thought that it would be too strong for flowers, but was umming and arring about the veggies in the growbags. Mind you, the smell will probably be overpowering once warmed up in the greenhouse Here's hoping for a bumper crop
SarahJo
Heres hoping too . You can use it straight on veggies ... and also, if you save in a bucket could add water and make "poo soup", which is obviously the diluted goodness, which spreads farther . red
I saw two small boys on television the other day talking about their record breaking pumpkin - it was HUUUGE - they refused to give awat too many of their secrets but did reveal that the key to its size was .... chicken poo!
