Mynxish
Dear All, I would like to say a big thank you to all who blog on here. You are making my current job so much more bearable! I am so excited - at last my little empty green eglu will be full with happy clucking from 3 ex-bats. They arrive on Saturday and will be coming ready named. Part of the agreement with OH (didn't need any more persuassion after a wonderful hen party, thank you Tina!) in getting them was that they were named in a sensible, orderly fashion - so he chose Kiev, Korma and Piri! I didn't want to buy layers mash too soon as I heard it can go off, so that is my mission for tomorrow. Are there any chicken people in Cambridge who can recommend where to get it from? Thank you, Ruth
cluckbok
Hi ya, welcome to the forum, it's brill isn't it? We live in Bury St. Edmunds, and we get our layers pellets from CWG Country store, I wonder whether there is one in Cambridge? Or some pet shops sell them. Also in Bury, Buryfeeds sell them too. Don't know many actually in Cambridge. Sorry probably not much help. You'll have lots of fun with your chickens I'm sure, love the names. abwsco
Enjoy your ex-batts I've just spent a large part of today watching ours again. As for mash, I just bought pellets and ground them up in a blender
Hen Watch
I'm not in your area, but wanted to say I buy my chicken feed, Auboise and all their suppliments from a horse supplies Tack shop. If you look in the Yellow Pages you may find a horse supply outlet near you that you can ring and ask. Or there are some links to feed suppliers on this link. http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7533 I buy Dodson & Horrel (non-organic but it is GM free) layers pellets from the horse shop. Their website lists loads and loads of companies in Cambridgeshire. http://www.dodsonandhorrell.com/uk/dh/stockist

Do you know if they sell Bokashi Bran? Nutmeg
