lisaroo2
Ok, so I go to the window to see how the girls are and what to I see? A female pheasant just about to walk into my greenhouse So I go out and try to save it from eating my precious veg and what happens? If flies through a window at the bottom of the greenhouse - and no, the window wasn't open. The thing flew through and broke a pain of glass! I know, its my fault. All week I've had a piece of netting covering the open greenhouse door and today I go in, come out and forget to put the netting back!! On the up side! The greenhouse does need replacing as its very old and is more plastic patches than glass. Hubbie-to-be has said that as soon as I've got a new job lined up then I can have a new one, greenhouse, not Hubbie-to-be! Said pheasant was sitting in the field scratching its head last time I looked. Hope its got a headache!

Cinnamon
My cottage is in the middle of a woods which is the shooting grounds for the estate house up the road. So we have a LOT of pheasant & I can say catagorically & with no doubt in my mind at all, that they are the most stupid creatures to walk the earth. Paola
Sounds like it has done you a favor as you are now getting a new greenhouse They are not the sharpest tools in the box
Rona
My Sasha (see below) thinks it is great fun to run at a group of pheasants and sent them squwaking into the air. She then hides behind a bush (crouched down with bum wiggling) and waits for them to land and start pecking about again so she can jump out on them again. Great fun she thinks until the old cock pheasant chases her off! She is 16 years old so should know better
lisaroo2
A male pheasant has spent most of the morning just t'other side of the girls enclosure today. Let me go right up to him as well! I think the girls are in love as they were doing their best to impress him. Strutting up and down the side of the run, fluffing their feathers up. Little so and so's...very funny though! The Dogmother
We're right near Blenheim Estate, where they breed pheasants for shooting, when you're walking on the estate, the pheasants will walk right up to you.
