Chickens at Wyken Vineyards - pics

Recommended Posts

I visited Wyken Vineyards in Suffolk with my Mum last week and they had some very interesting chickens and peacocks. Here are a few pics

well, I sat back with a cup of tea and put all 70 photos on 'slide show'! What stunning photography, someone has an eye for a good photo and you must have a really good camera too!

My favourite was the horse and the lamb (very funny!) and the blue rocking chair (very New Englandy).

Great pics, thanks, I enjoyed them! :D

Glad you enjoyed them! The camera is a Nikon D40 digital SLR. I got it last year as my first digital camera and have found it to be brilliant.

the most I've ever spent on a camera was £100, that was a digital camera but the camera on hubbie's phone is better than it :?

One of these days I'm going to treat myself to an expensive camera, the memories they produce are priceless

It is a great camera - I got it as a combined birthday/christmas present from my parents last year. The quality of the pictures is brilliant on the automatic setting and there are lots of other settings that I haven't quite got the hang of yet. It was recommended to me by a photographer friend who thought it was a great camera for someone who is new to SLR but also had enough bells and whistles to keep you happy for some time. I got a good package with lens, bag, memory card etc.

Thank you for the guinea fowl identification - I had always wondered what they had looked like! The feathers are beautiful but they are a very odd shape!

Wyken Vineyards is lovely - they have a great gift shop and bistro where we had lunch. The gardens are huge and you are free to roam around. This is their website http://www.wykenvineyards.co.uk/
