How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

We have had 4 days of putting them up to bed by picking them up and putting them in. We did try a tourch on the 4th day and they were trying to get in but were missing the point of the ladder and trying to fly in!! Then on the 5th day paxo and dixie went to bed on there own! This was cool enough but last night we went up and they had ALL gone to bed! We were so pleased as they really have come on and are acting more like real chickens every day now. How quickly they forget all they had was an A4 sized area to live in!!

 

Now if only they would lay the eggs in the nest box!! Oh well, one thing at a time

We have fake eggs in the nest box and I hope that with there new found ability to go back up to the cube thay may start soon.

And they say chickens have little brains. Given time they do work it out - it's just that some need more time than others.

 

I put a rubber egg in their nest box and every hard-shelled egg has been laid there. I have notice that soft-shelled eggs seem to pop out wherever said chicken happens to be but as they get older this is decreasing.

they have started using the nest box!! I am so impressed at how quick they are being. Let them have a quick hour out last night. Paxo must have eaten her body weight in slugs in that time!! she is obsessed with finding them. Other girls not quite worked out that treat yet!

Hurrah! Well done girls! They are certainly proof if any was needed that there is plenty of life left in ex-batt chickens.

And they have been giving at least 2 eggs a day so far! We have managed to give some away already and also made omlets, eggie bread and a 6 egg cake with 5 more in a box in the kitchen as of last night. We should have done this years ago!!
