I went a few years ago and could have happily bought every single plant on display  It was very good. I remember we even got free seeds from one stand :D . There will probably be offers on gardening books and magazines, so if you are going and fancy something like that (maybe an allotment book  ), hold fire until you go

Keep a budget in mind and stick to it, otherwise you will have to sell the house to pay for everything!

Have a lovely time :D

Edited to add, I think they do a plant creche, so when you buy plants you hand them over at the creche and they look after them until you are ready to go home. Bear in mind everyone will be picking up their plants at the same time though, so you may be stuck there ages at the end of the day.

Cathy its a wonderful day out! :D

OH & I go every year and have a great time.

The Summer Good Food show is also on too and your tickets gets you in there as well

Tips:

Arrive early - i think gates open at 8.30ish.

If you are planning on doing the plant swap its best to do it first.

I take a wheely box thing for plant shopping as they stay well protected and less bashed

Do the RHS flower marquee ASAP as it gets really busy later on and if its a sunny day it can be quite hot in there too.

Which day are you planning to attend?

 I'm going for the first time ever too this year. A freind has paid for my ticket as a treat because I look after her elderly cat when she has to go away...[i go to her home inthe next village] I'm really looking forward to it but as I am also away in Northumberland next week with a group of Horsey freinds I'm not sure I will have too much money to splash out with. Glad Omlet will be there ..I'll endeavour to seek the stand out.

I'm going on the Thursday .

It is fantastic, I went last year and it was wonderful (that's where I saw my first Eglu!!)

I don't know what the box trolley things cost out and about but lots of stalls were selling them at the show last year and they were typically about £10, if that helps at all.

I'm going on the Wednesday, first day.

Diane
