I wouldn't be suprised if it came from your brown nick - as I guess she is from the same batch as my Fair Dinkum - and she lay a 98g one today, after a break of about 11 days.

Fortunately I can tell who lays which egg as the three lay in different places, and also the colour and texture is slightly different. The brown nick (Fair Dinkum) lays darker eggs with kind of rough texture at the pointed end!

I hate to be a show-off..., but I was presented with a 100g single-yolked egg yesterday AND the day before, presumably form the same chicken (?) Must admit, the first one had a slightly odd textured shell; sort of bumpy like orange peel, but otherwise all normal. What is the biggest egg anyone has had?

They are getting so cheeky now - when I open the back door they come into the kitchen (and poo on the floor... )

My Buffy (brahma) goes through phases every now and again of presenting us with what we call 'cut & shunt' eggs. They look like two eggs that have been cut off and glued together with a ridge in the middle. She lays these for three or four days (all double yolkers) and then she goes back to laying much smaller eggs for a while.

What a brilliant description - sums it up perfectly. We've been thinking of them as ringers ( you know where two cars are cut and welded back together.....)
