kannie
Research has shown that chickens like strokes more than cats! The research was into 'smart' clothing and the remote delivery of sensations via the internet. They dressed chickens in bespoke jackets and gave them a choice of 2 hutches. When they went into one hutch, they got a stroking sensation, and nothing in the other. They chose the stroking hutch 72% of the time! The Managing Director
that's quite a thought, especially the ... 'And if you lent your jacket to someone else, would your partner be having an affair?"' personally I don't think they'll catch on

Popcorn
Bit daft really...but I guess there are people who spend their week days away from home, and hugs are quite nice Wouldn't work with our hens. kannie
No the results surprised me - I'd have thought cats would have liked strokes more than chickens. I did take Maisy on my lap & gave her a stroke last night though, and she wasn't at all eager to leave. Matilda was quite curious (though she avoided being picked up). Maybe the chickens in Asia are just more used to strokes... or a different variety? I feel a poll coming on....

Guest
For cats, it's a different story. They don't seem to like being touched at all," said Dr Cheok. How can that be true? Cats purr really loudly when they're being stroked. They love it!
