First Egg!!

Recommended Posts

After seemingly months of waiting (well, 13 days), we have our first egg!

It weighs a very dainty 33g and is from my Cotswolds Legbar (who, judging by the size of this egg, is a bantam masquerading as a regular chicken) It's small, but perfectly formed!

Does know if this is the size of egg that Cotswolds Legbars always lay? Will they get any bigger?

What a lovely little egg! 8) Well done Giblet!

They do get bigger, but I don't think blue eggers ever lay particularly massive eggs. All three of mine (pure araucana, araucana hybrid, legbar hybrid) have laid eggs that average 55g.

What average size do other blueys lay?
