It weighs a very dainty 33g and is from my Cotswolds Legbar (who, judging by the size of this egg, is a bantam masquerading as a regular chicken) It's small, but perfectly formed! Snowy Posted May 25, 2008 Share Posted May 25, 2008 What a lovely little egg! Well done Giblet! They do get bigger, but I don't think blue eggers ever lay particularly massive eggs. All three of mine (pure araucana, araucana hybrid, legbar hybrid) have laid eggs that average 55g. What average size do other blueys lay?
