Hi

I'm new here, and about to order our eglu so very excited! We think we need to make a permanent space for it in our garden, but don't think we have room (well, in order to leave space for our children to play!) for the recommended size of the woodchip area. Can someone please explain why it needs to be so much larger than the area you need for the eglu on it's own? If we can get away with an area that will just fit the eglu in, we'll be fine, and would like to be able to make an informed decision but my inexperienced mind, at the moment, can't understand why the area needs to be so large!

Thanks

Lapinou

ps. Am planning on letting them free-range whenever we're at home (which is most of the time) once we've got protection over our veg.
