kazaddress Posted April 29, 2006 Share Posted April 29, 2006 Hi simon installed a waterbutt a few weeks ago. all he did was buy a cheap £6 black lidded bin. cut a hole for the pipe to fit in, nd installed a tap in the bottom. we now use it to water the garden and chickens! cost £10 in total Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ubereglu Posted May 20, 2006 Share Posted May 20, 2006 I saw a great alternative of a water butt at Mole Valley. It's like a round plastic barrel with a rubber lid and a sort of tap thing on the bottom. I think it's like an industrial barrel thing. It's a quite bright sort of dark green colour and all you'd need to do is put a hole in the rubber lid and put an overflow hole near the top. Not sure how much they are though...
