I would love to keep a record of the eggs laid by my two ladies.....except I'm still waiting for my first egg!!!! I have a notebook ready All good things come to those who wait.......and I'm being impatient as they're still only about 20wks old

Guest
There was a thread about egg-holders, which is how I came to buy mine. Mine is screwed to the wall and holds 12 eggs, 15 if you balance 3 on top! It certainly works for me and keeps the eggs off my valuable working space. I'll see if I can find a link! Guest
Here's the link to the holder I bought. You can get it in different colours too. http://www.castinstyle.co.uk/product.php/242/0//6488050c62af7f31ef3ba3b86754aa24 There's some chat here: http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=989&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=holder&start=
The Dogmother
I couldn't tell you how many eggs mine have laid in total, but Rosie keeps tally on a calendar of who lays what weight - it's a good way to keep tally of who is laying in case there might be something wrong with them. Guest
It's rewarding to know we've reached 1000. If free-range organic eggs cost £1 for 6 (I suspect they're more than that) then I have saved £167 over the past year (not mentioning the eglu, our big run and food etc)
