First: congrats to Omlet...delivered a day early

Didn't put it together until today in the kitchen cos it was pouring with rain...[told the OH it wouldn't go thru the door ] never mind it's outside now. [Why didn't he build it in the nice ,dry, clean, light barn ] Simple.... he's got a phobia about birds and we've got swallows nesting in there Not that he'd admit thats the reason!

Only the roof brackets are missing so will have to make do with bungee straps for the time being. 6 x chooks arriving next Weds I know they're hybrids... think a sort of x between orpington/RIR and something else!

I know this sounds very vague, but here you order your chooks at whatever age you want and depending on whether they are for..[you know what].....or for eggs. When you say you want them for eggs they then ask you what colour! [The chooks that is....not the eggs!] You then have a choice of red, black or grey I've ordered 2 of each

PS Nice to see the kids and grandkids on trip to UK but weather terrible and 4 x grandkids 3yrs and under all had chickenpox

I wonder what they will make of your cube in france? Sorry to hear your grandchildren had the pox. It is doing the rounds at my sons schools and nurserys *touchwood* we have avoided it.
