owenofj
... of destroying the grass and noisily demanding the worms we kept finding while digging the shed base, Henrietta just couldn't take it anymore, and collapsed in an elegant heap on the floor. http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm267/owenofj/photo-1.jpg I do wish they would let me give them strokes and cuddles

owenofj
Only since Thursday afternoon, but I couldn't be without them now. I know it will take a while for them to get to know us... I have found holding a worm in one hand and giving a few stroke with the other worked, but then the worm escaped and during the race to catch it... from each others beak, it ended up in the Glug. We couldn't work out what the problem was, they were all bouncing around it getting more and more excited, it was so funny
Egluntyne
Stroke them or lift them out at night when they are drowsy. They will get used to you that way, and you, them. They will be a lot friendlier when they come into lay.
owenofj
Thanks for the advice, Egluntine, will try that tonight. Hopefully won't end up like last time with escaped chickens through the egg port
