We are in Norwich and went to the Henhouse in Thorndon, near Eye. The girls travelled beautifully in a large cardboard box (with air holes!) and a friend of ours who knows lots about hens has been very impressed with them. The website address is www.hen-house.co.uk

Obviously depends how far in Norfolk you are but we went to the Hen House too, found them very knowledgable and friendly people. They had alot of different Hybrids to choose from as well as pure breeds.

We got our pol chickens from a farm on the a146. Between Norwich and Beccles. I am not sure what hybrids mean - but they are the typical battery egg laying hens - hope that helps. x

We managed to get our girls on Sunday from Potters in Weybread, a bluebelle, Light sussex and a speckledy, all lovely my speckledy has a limp which is probably due to 'moving and handling'.

Hi - I got my girls and my sis-in-laws from The Ark in Roughton, I live in Norwich and found that he is really good, down to earth guy but always happy to help with any newbie questions! He has lots of browns and some more exciting/colourful breeds as well (I love my browns dont get me wrong!)
