AJuff
and found my peas have pods and the broad beans have pods too. Yesterday they were only flowers I'm sure. I'm so excited! Kids think I've lost the plot! My roses are in bud, apples are growing on the tree, salad has sprouted, strawberrys are forming, peppers are growing and the courgettes have an extra leaf each day! Tomorrow I'm going to dig up a potato plant and see what's underneath....
chickencam
Growing your own is so exciting isn't it, things change so fast , unfortunately the weeds grow equally fast

Tara.F
I am a tad fanatical too I can't quite believe how important my veggies have become to me over the last few years...I am a woman obsessed! I think in this day and age...with everything so commercialised and superficial...getting back to growing our food and providing in a real sense for our families brings an almost spiritual relief. even to an atheist like me
Snowy
It is lovely to be able to get fresh food from the garden isn't it? I love just wandering round the garden and checking progress. I picked some broad beans this morning and tidied up the stems a bit. When I looked again this evening there were some more pods ready for picking!!! Surely I didn't overlook that many this morning, either that or they've been growing in front of my eyes!
redhotchick
I eat a big bowl of home grown salad leaves in work every day and I'm trying to get every one at work to at least grow their own lettuce. This is my second year trying to grow my own food. I've done better this year than last. I hope to learn a bit more every year and establish some routines. (Like remembering to plant garlic bulbs before Christmas) It's so rewarding to get a nice crop of anything.
