Ukadex - what a stink - how to best use it?

Recommended Posts

Yesterday I sprayed Olive's pecking order victims with Ukadex. OMG it pongs!!! I see on the tin, under 'Contents', it says Animal Oil....uurgh...what does that mean exactly??! Actually, if anyone knows, don't tell me please. It must be something to do with skunks though :D

Alluringly, it hung around in my hair all day.

Anyway, until the pecking stops, how often should I re-apply it? (Next time I'll be wearing a spacesuit  ). Does it wear off the chooks daily, or is once every couple of days ok?

Caroline

PS Some of you might remember me saying I broke both arms in January, slipping on yoghurt in a supermarket. Today my solicitor's just told me that they're not admitting liability, but are going to settle out of court. I'm so happy - just wanted to share!!!

Hi Caroline. I sprayed it every three days for a couple of weeks then stopped to see what would happen! Prada thankfully had given up the feather pulling idea by then

I have sprayed Gucci once or twice again since then as I spotted Prada taking an interest in the nice new feathers that were growing back.

I'd see how it goes although it's probably worth doing frequently to start with to get the message across, just hold your nose for a couple of weeks,

oh and dont get it on your hair like I did - three shampoos later and I thought the smell had gone - until my hair got wet while I was at work and the smell wafted back again - very embarrasing trying to explain to work mates

Liking the sound of every few days, Egluntine, not sure I could manage that stench any sooner than that

Is Ukadex related to Stockhom tar? i seem to remember that it had a similar (though not so horrendous) smell, but I am going back into the mists of time to my twenties there, so could be entirely mistaken.

And what a funny, lovely picture of Nugget with a tasty treat on her beak, Egluntine. She looks well chuffed with herself.
