I'm glad everyone has found them easy to clean - I think the wooden ones are really hard to get everything off. I don't have a pressure washer thing. I think I might have to do another 'what this old thing' tomorrow and hope my OH doesn't notice. I'm a bit annoyed though as I've only had the spare wooden one a couple of weeks!

Do you reckon this will create a no place to hid for redmite?

 

I ordered my set to-day and am looking forward to receiving them.

 

I will probably use the old bars to make perches in their run, Im pretty sure they will like that as they perch under a cherry tree at the moment.

I do hope so I managed to get red mite from a bag of bark

Unfortunately red mite can still lodge in crevices or under the eglu, but is far, far less likely to than if you have a wooden house.

The Plastic Bars must be selling like "Hot Cakes". I ordered some today, delivery not until 11 July 2008.

I washed my wooden bars at the weekend and they broke - not just the slats coming away from the main bars, that's happened already (looks as if they were put together with an office stapler!) but a whole bit of the end is broken.

 

Now, I've only had the Cube since March and ordinarily this would be cause for complaint. Not at all - I'VE GOT AN EXCUSE TO BUY THE PLASTIC BARS NOW! Just waiting for payday, whoopee! And Prudence says I can have a spare arch, so I can do the door adaptation as well.

 

I love it when things fall into place. Thanks for the pics, Pengy, they are much better than the Omlet ones!
