went out with carys yesterday for a walk with the dog - hoping to take a photo of some goslings that I spotted he other day.

 

the goslings were over the other side of the lake...

 

but we did come across this baby moorhen hiding in the willow.... appears to have huge legs for the size of its body!

 

 

 

spring is here! just summer needed now!

I love moorhens - used to see lots in Norfolk. Tehy have big feet even when they are grown up - helps them to wade on boggy ground.

It's far too pretty to be Kate Moss, but the legs are the same width. One of my chooks has legs like that you could drive a bus through them!
