Ive never tried my girls with marmite and how would you give it to them? I can't imagine my lot letting me spread it over their beaks lol

Toast some bread and heavily smear it with glorious Marmite.Mine love it to such an extent they always squabble over it.

Aw, good story, like the ones with the happy endings. Marmite? Good for chickens? Hope mine'll like it though I don't.

Did anyone see this story today, the picture in the paper was adorable...

 

My pub landlord had cut out the story to show me, as he knew that I had chickens. I had already read on previous posts about Marmite and so tried my girls with it on toast when they first arrived. My family thought I was nuts and that they would not touch it with a bargepole. Wrong, they went mad for it and now I give it to them as a treat before bedtime.

 

They also love layers pellet porridge for breakfast and make a mad dash for it as some as they wake up.
