For those who are sceptical of the eglu/cube and what appears like the initially higher expense:

My parents kept chickens and ducks for a good few years when I was a teenager and loved it. They'd really like to do it again but 'it's so much work to keep cleaning them out etc.'. Now they've seen our eglu, although I think my mum was coming round to them anyway, my dad is a complete convert! He said yesterday 'well the only thing that had been stopping me is all the work, but I can see with these things that the work just isn't the issue it used to be'. I think they'll be getting a cube (huge garden) but only three chickens as there are only two of them now (as opposed to two adults and four hungry teenagers last time round  )

I just typed a message and lost it somehow, so I will try again...

The maintenance time is greatly reduced on the eglu/cube I have to say. I jetwashed mine today and it came up like new, no other chicken housing will do this IMO.
