Lapinou
Have you tried lifting them gently out of the nesting box in the evening when they're sleepy, Choppish? One of ours hasn't needed this and has been happy to be picked up from the nesting box in the day time, but the other two are pretty skittish but are getting much tamer from being cuddled and stroked when they're sleepy in the evenings. choppish
well after a few more moment i opened the door to put more treats on for them. i then realised what was causing the commotion when a black bin liner suddenly blew against the run! they really went mad and bombblasted out of the door and off for thier 1st free range. wings unclipped too however, one jumped on to the lawnmower and declared herself stuck so was easy to catch. once she was in the other followerd her. they are now more calmer, note to self: avoid bin bags blowing near eglu. nieghbours were all at their windows too! Gamebird
nieghbours were all at their windows too! Of course they were. Chickens are much more entertaining than anything on the telly. Welcome to the forum.
cluckbok
Welcome to the forum. When you give them a treat (best in the afternoons) give them some porridge mixed with warm water, they'll be putty in your hands!!
Egluntyne
Lapinou's suggestion that you take them out of the Eglu at night and stroke them and get them being used to being handled is a good one. It is useful to get yourself used to handling them too, in case any treatment is ever needed.
