Colour run

Recommended Posts

I have just washed a new t-shirt of OH's which is yellow with a red print on it. The red print has bled all over the t-shirt (but luckily not on any of the other washing in the load).

Does anyone know if it would be possible to get the red colour out? I seem to remember seeing products in the supermarket but do they contain bleach?

Thanks!

Hi there!

If you followed the washing instructions, I'd take it back!

I'm a great believer in getting something 'fit for purpose' and not letting retailers pass off shoddy goods for a [usually] inflated price.

I once took back a pair of childrens shoes when the sole felloff after a week. The shop said 'well, he must have worn them':roll: My reply isn't printable....but I got replacement shoes :!:

kate,

I spent a fortune recently trying products to remove colour run from my daughters t-shirt and whilst they improved it slightly they didn't remove it completely, I tried several times (it would have been cheaper to buy the t-shirt again) but there is still a mark. I have used these products previously ( yes I do seem to make a habit of this ) and they never seem to work! Sorry

Definately take it back. There are too many shops selling sub-standard goods at the moment and to few people are willing to complain. You may find that the shop will just give you a refund will little or no fuss.

We had a nice surprise in Clarks the other day when we went to get my son a pair of shoes. I mentioned that the sandals we'd bought for him 2 weeks before had rubbed. The lady took a look at his feet, asked us to allow her to return the sandals and gave us a full refund :D It makes a change to see such good proactive customer service
