I'm going to have a bash at one but just got a quick question.

I've got sandwich tins with a push out bottom, they're also non stick.

As they're non stick, I'm assuming I don't need to grease and line them with greaseprrof paper? However, if I don't, will the cake mix leak out from the bottm of the tin??? With it having a loose bottom, so to speak, I was just wondering.

The cake mix shouldn't leak out but it is probably still adviseable to line the base, although with the base being loose it may come off quite easily.

I use the reusable Bacoglide stuff or cheaper equivalents and they are great just cut to size use then wash and reuse, the proper stuff is sold by Lakeland I think and it is worth the extra.

what about if i just grease it with a bit of butter, so it slides off the base ok? every time i use greaseprrog it always gets stuck to the cake :?

A trick I learnt is to grease the tin really well with butter and then dust with some flour until all the butter is coated. When you take the cake out of the oven leave to cool for a few mins, run a pallet knife around the edge to loosen and they should just pop out. I haven't used baking paper since!

I usually do that too :D with my loose bottom ( tins  ) I sometimes put a disk of greaseproof paper in before the cake mixture and then when the cake is cool tip it upside down and it will come off the base and then peel the paper off :D
