husband problems

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to add to this and say that since I started using Bokashi Bran the poos are not nearly as stinky as they used to be.

I add a couple of teaspoons to their grubs and sprinkle some in the poo trays - what a difference!

"i feel like giving up :(

I assume you're considering giving up the husand, not the chickens

I have used bokashi and diatom, and only find it smelly on wet days. Even then, you have to have a fairly sensitive nose.

But hey, yes, the curry poo can be stinky and yes, there may be a few more flies, but there's also lots of love, hours of entertainment and free eggs. What more does he want?

I was just wondering why everyone who uses Aubiose/Hemcore in their runs was saying that you must have the run fully covered ... ? We've used Aubiose for about 6 months now, with just the standard rain cover, and haven't had any problems.

Ade

We find that if the hemcore gets wet then along with a few poos it goes into a horrid soggy clump, that looks pretty disgusting.
