Be aware though - some supermarkets still have some of the "old" non free range stock. I found this out twice when i ordered from Sainsburys online - even though the photo was the "free range version" online the shopper sent me the old non free range mayo. I complained.

I bought Hellmans Free range egg mayo last week and OH complained about the price!! Had to point out that I'm trying to shop ethically!!

It's good news about the Mayo - I've just discovered that Heinz Salad Cream is made using Battery eggs - which is disastrous for me, as I absoloutely love it - do you happen to know of any free-range alternatives - or do you know if there are any Salad Cream Addicts support groups?

Their salad cream and mayo is lovely. We went in the other day just to stock up on mayo/salad cream and ketchup - it was all on offer!
