Electricbarbarella
I am getting very very excited now. How can I survive the entire week without bursting. How do I give my children attention rather than just daydreaming about chook chooks. My SIL is coming up on Friday to visit and is going to help construct the cube, we are very good at DIY as a team and she will be a lot more help then dh bless him. She is also going to watch my babies while we collect the chooks. I think I am getting a little strange and people may be starting to laugh at me. oh well. Electricbarbarella
Oh I will, apparently my mum got my dh on his own yesterday and was very negative saying I get so carried away with stuff and I will be bored as soon as they are here. Annoyed me a little bit as she has been so enthusiastic to me. I do like to have a project but I alway see it through and I am hoping the chooks will be a long term hobby not a project. And I don't think my hubbie would have agreed to me buying acube and extension iof he thought I wa going to get bored.
Egluntyne
You won't get bored! Keep your Mum supplied with eggs and she will have to eat her words.....but the eggs will taste better.
Electricbarbarella
funny thing is it was her that started the whole obsession, she took us to visit her friends back yard chickens and then showed me her neighbours and I came home that day (god seems so long ago now) and I knew that i needed tio have chickens. I can't believe i had never before realised how wonderful they are. I am now totally smitten. I never thought dh would agree never mind be just as obsessed as me, I am not even allowed to say they are mine, they are ours
Tilly Bud
I was beyond excited when i got mine! When i rang up to arder them and they told me i had to wait and month i didn't think i could contain my excitement that long! They said to me "why don't you prepare your garden in the meantime" and i was like "i've done it already! Everything's ready i just need the chickens!" They must have thought i was mental! And the poor man who delivered the chickens...he KNEW i was!
frenchlayer
Morning all, sounds just like here. We are not good at waiting are we. I think we need to talk to Patience, I am sure she is the sister of Prudence. Your mum might have been just making conversation and not really meant it, just expressing her surprise at your excitement. Let us know what she says when you give her the first set of eggs.
